Who We Are
SheShed Ministries is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to discipling women, teaching the Word of God clearly, and helping women become healed, whole, and equipped to serve.
We are a global discipleship and Bible study community built on a simple belief:
When women shed what keeps them bound, they can build God’s Kingdom on purpose.
Everything we create, from weekly teachings to study tools, discipleship pathways, and real connection, is designed to help women grow spiritually, strengthen their walk with God, and live with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Our Story
SheShed Ministries began long before it became a nonprofit organization. Its roots trace back to a Facebook group called The Kingdom Building SheShed where on February 2, 2022, Dr. Angela D. Thomas (affectionately known as "Dr. A") followed the instructions of the Lord to give up her Wednesday night piano lessons to teach the Word of God to His daughters in an easy-to-understand way, LIVE each Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.!
Named after Dr. A's LOVE for true woodworking in her ACTUAL backyard SheShed, The Kingdom Building SheShed became a safe, sacred space where women could:
Learn God's Word in an easy-to-understand way, to get the tools they need, to shed the mess they don't, to build God's Kingdom on Purpose!
What happened there was special. It was fun! It was a whole vibe! AND IT GREW AND GREW worldwide!
Women showed up expecting a teaching, but they left transformed. Scripture made sense. Healing began. Community blossomed. And lives were changed week after week.
But when God called Dr. A into pastoral ministry, she could no longer steward both the church and the SheShed at the same time. The live teachings paused, but the impact didn’t. Women from across the country, and even around the world, continued asking when The SheShed would return. The hunger for discipleship, community, and clarity in the Word only grew stronger.
Even while pastoring, the SheShed never left Dr. A’s heart. After faithfully serving and eventually stepping down from the pastorate, God breathed on the vision again—this time bigger, wider, deeper, and more global than before. What began as a small online gathering of women was reborn into a full discipleship movement.
Today, SheShed Ministries is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping women grow spiritually, heal deeply, and become whole disciples who make whole disciples. What started as weekly Facebook teachings has now grown into:
A global online discipleship and Bible study community
Dozens of powerful study guides and tools
A multi-step discipleship pathway
Health, leadership, and faith-based empowerment initiatives
A digital home where women can grow, heal, connect, and shed what still binds them
The heart of the SheShed remains the same, but the assignment, by God’s hand, is bigger than ever. SheShed Ministries is more than a moment, IT'S A MOVEMENT! And this is just the beginning of the story God is writing.

Founder & Visionary Leader
Dr. A is known for making Scripture come alive with clarity and compassion. A preacher, teacher, and leader, she is passionate about discipling women, equipping leaders, and helping women shed what keeps them bound so they can live in freedom and purpose.
SheShed Ministries partners with her speaking, teaching, books, and free resources to continue serving women with love and biblical truth.
