ABOUT SHESHED MINISTRIES
We exist for one reason. To see women healed, whole, and advancing God's Kingdom on purpose.
And we have been doing it since 2.2.22, one woman at a time.
SheShed Ministries, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit discipleship organization founded by Dr. Angela D. Thomas. Through Spirit-led Bible teaching, practical discipleship tools, and real community, we are building a generation of women who know the Word, shed what keeps them bound, and walk fully in who God called them to be.
A note before you go further: SheShed Ministries is the nonprofit organization. The SheShed Community is one of its ministry arms, a private online discipleship community where women go deep in the Word together. They are connected. But they are not the same thing. You are in the right place either way.
God interrupted my piano lessons. And I am so glad He did.
In January 2022, our church was on a fast. And in the middle of that fast, the Lord spoke to me clearly. He wanted me to teach His daughters His Word every week. Live. Virtually. Every single week.
The problem was my calendar.
I was a healthcare executive. A scientist. A mom. A wife. Vice President of the Board of Directors at my church. Director of Women's Ministry. Director of Education. Soprano on the praise team. And I was running a t-shirt business on the side. I had finally carved out the one last evening I had left, Wednesday nights, to start piano lessons.
When God gave me the assignment, I knew what it was going to cost me. I gave up the piano lessons. And I said yes.
I started praying about what this would look like. And because I am a DIY girl who loves woodworking, refinishing furniture, playing in the garden, and spending time in my actual she shed in the backyard, when God gave me the name it made complete sense. My t-shirt business already carried the tagline for Kingdom building. So He put it together: The Kingdom Building SheShed.
I showed up every Wednesday at 7PM in a Facebook group and taught the Word of God live. We developed the teaching style that SheShed is known for today. Three tools every lesson. The Shed It and Work It. The Where We See Jesus moment, which comes from my own obsession with understanding Jesus and discovering that you can find Him on every single page of the Bible, yes including the Old Testament. And the Deeper Dive.

Then came the date God chose for our launch.
2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8.
In Scripture, eight is the number of new beginnings.
God does not do coincidences.
And we grew to over 500 women.
Then the Lord called me into a Lead Pastor season. SheShed went on hold. But the women never forgot. They kept asking. When is it coming back? When are you teaching again? Bring back the SheShed.
So when the Lord told me my Lead Pastor season was up, I sought the Lord again. And this time He gave me a bigger vision.
Not just a Bible study. A global ministry. Not just teaching. Discipleship. Not just a Facebook group. A nonprofit organization with its own name, its own identity, and its own assignment.
Everyone had already been calling it SheShed anyway. Nobody ever said The Kingdom Building SheShed. So we simplified the name and made it official. SheShed Ministries, Inc. was incorporated in October 2025. We launched the community in beta on January 1, 2026. And on February 20, 2026, we cut the ribbon on the official launch.
The heart of SheShed has always been the same. God's Word. Made plain. For every woman. But the assignment is bigger now. And the story is still unfolding.

Dr. A's teaching showed me how God is intentional with everything in our lives. What we might see as a struggle, God uses for His glory. When God tells you something, BELIEVE IT. Being in this community makes me feel special and I do not have to be afraid to talk about things. I do not have to worry about being judged. I never thought I could be in a group of ladies that are not afraid of their truths and do not judge others no matter what they say, have been through, or are going through right now.
What We Believe
SheShed is a nondenominational Christian discipleship community anchored in the belief that Jesus Christ is Lord, that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that every woman who confesses faith in Him has access to the fullness of Scripture and the power of the Holy Spirit.

I built SheShed for a woman I will never forget.
She came to me and told me she was going to buy a children's Bible because she felt too far behind to understand the real one.
Not because she did not love God. She did. Deeply. But the real Bible still felt like a mystery written for someone more together than her. Someone who had not been through what she had been through.
I knew if someone would just sit with her in the Word and show her, she would not just understand it. She would fall in love with it.
She did.
That is why I built SheShed. For her. And for every woman like her who is one clear, safe, judgment-free Bible teaching away from everything changing.
I am Dr. Angela D. Thomas. Ordained pastor. Healthcare executive. Scientist. University professor. Bestselling author. Founder of SheShed Ministries, Inc.
I have taught women who are picking up the Bible for the very first time and credentialed elders who have been in the Word for decades. Both walk out of the same teaching changed.
That is not a method. That is what happens when the Holy Spirit makes the deep things plain.
I do not teach down. I do not stay shallow. And I saved a seat for you.

This moment comes from Dr. A's own obsession with understanding Jesus that started in her twenties and has never stopped.
