Yes. God specializes in raising what everybody else has already buried. When you revisit the desire, surrender it, speak well over it, and get it into His hands, resurrection stops being a Bible story and starts being your testimony.

We've walked all week with a woman who refused to let death get the last word. So let's finish where God finishes. With life.

Elisha goes up to that upper room, shuts the door, and stretches himself out over the dead boy. And the child sneezes seven times and opens his eyes. The thing everybody had already grieved sat up and breathed. That wasn't the woman's effort and it wasn't her hustle. That was the presence of God meeting a fully surrendered situation.

Where Do We See Jesus in This?

Right here. Jump over to Mark 5. A synagogue leader named Jairus has a dying daughter, and while Jesus is still on the way, the news comes that she's already died. Everybody starts wailing and planning the funeral. But Jesus walks in with a whole different report. Mark 5:39 (NKJV) says, "When He came in, He said to them, 'Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.'" She ain't dead. She's just sleep. And He took her by the hand and she got up.

And in that same chapter there's a woman who'd been bleeding twelve years, out of options and out of hands worth trusting, who pressed through a whole crowd just to touch the hem of His garment. Mark 5:34 (NKJV) says, "And He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.'" Two dead-end situations. One got raised, one got healed. Same Jesus.

Your Resurrection Isn't Just for You

Here's the part that should make you want to make some mad moves. When God raises your dead thing, it doesn't just bless you. It preaches. The world is watching to see if this faith is real, and nothing catches a skeptic's attention like a woman walking around alive in a situation that was supposed to be a funeral.

So revisit the desire. Want it out loud. Surrender it and speak well over it. Get it in the right hands. And then watch God do what only God can do. His word doesn't return void, and His promises are yes and amen.

Take this to the Word yourself. 2 Kings 4:32-37, Mark 5:21-43.

What This Means for You

If God resurrected the very situation you've already buried, whose faith around you would be changed just from watching it happen?

This is the final post in the Making Mad Moves series. Here's the whole week if you want to walk back through it:

Friday: Can God Really Bring My Dead Situation Back to Life?

I teach God's Word weekly inside the SheShed Community, and this is exactly the kind of teaching that hits different when you're in the room for it. The replay of this teaching, "Making Mad Moves," is available inside the community as well. Come sit with us.
